On Monday, October 2 at 4 pm, Obicex Foundation presents Aula Futura,…
The SUES – Support to students project provides a study room within Citilab, every day of the week, including Saturdays and Sundays. During the week, there is an exclusive night timetable of the study rooms , so that all students can use them from 8 pm in the evening to 8 am in the morning.. The timetable at weekends , is extended, so that the study room can be used 24 hours a day.
These spaces provided by Citilab can be used for individual study, and also for group work, with access to free Wi-Fi. Facilities can also be used for study during the normal opening hours of Citilab, although silence cannot be guaranteed in the room, as other activities are carried out. Citilab hence becomes a large study room, available to citizens 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The purpose of SUES is to give support to students throughout the academic year, particularly during intense exam time. To encourage study habits, Citilab facilitates these adapted spaces, 365 days a year, either at night or all day at the weekends.
Another action that forms part of this Support to students project, is the collaboration of Citilab with theExhibition of Research Work of Cornellà. Two of our experts are members of the jury of this municipal competition, aimed at contributing know-how in the scientific and technologies field, in the assessment of research work of Cornellà secondary schools.
Throughout 2016, the study rooms became established, receiving over 1,000 users, who have used Citilab facilities to study or work on group projects, totalling 4,168 uses over the year.
By observing the approximate figures, we have been able to conclude that half the attendants of the study rooms are residents of Cornellà del Llobregat. The other half are residents of other municipalities, who find Citilab a place to develop their academic tasks.
It is also important to highlight that the average time each user spends studying is over 3 hours. This confirms the utility of students using these spaces.
SUES is addressed to students of Cornellà de Llobregat and neighbouring municipalities, who have the need to find a peaceful space where they can concentrate on studying and dedicating time to their academic life. Citilab also guarantees free access to Internet, with optimum connection to be able to develop all tasks.
Entry to the study rooms is open to everyone, with no restrictions on age, meaning that all citizens wishing to use them are very welcome to Citilab. The study room card is required.
