Dolors SolanoHead of Seniorlab

I have been head of SeniorLab since 2013, working in the management of social dynamics regarding projects created by participants, the identification of cognitive and social technological training needs, along with the management, planning, organization and dissemination of senior projects. I was also head of the Satchel project (2013-2015), which is a European project addressed to senior citizens on co-housing, design of public areas and technology. Seniorlab-Cornellà de Llobregat participated in this project along with other agents from Helsinki and Manchester.

I started in Citilab as a seniorlaber, working from the hypothesis stage to the establishment of the Seniorlab project. My tasks from 2008 to 2012 included streamlining and coordinating the project both from in asepcts of technology and contents.

Of the activities in which I have participated as a trainer, I would highlight the workshop in collaboration with the A Bao A Qu association during the year of Cerdà, and encouraging weekly debates. I have been manager of Memory, Immigration, Recycling, Image and Sound projects. I have also coordinated workshops for the unemployed, and those given by Fundació La Caixa and the Barcelona Provincial Council, plus the “Knowledge of Tourism Project”. I also assisted in technological learning of a person with visual impairment.

My professional career has always been linked to the administrative sector. I qualified in Secretarial Management and Accountancy, and later formed part of an experimental group, started up by the Barcelona Bar Association. The aim was to train new Legal Secretaries from this association, and I became qualified after one year. I qualified in programming from Oracle, and I have studied at the Universitat de la Gent Gran (University of Senior Citizens).
