Open Data Lab is Back: Free Workshop and Business Open Data Training

Open Date Lab, the citizen school of data of Baix Llobregat, is back in September with the free workshop: ‘How to re-use Open data to generate value’, that will take place in Citilab facilities on Tuesday 26 of September at 18h30. The workshop will talk about the application of open data to entrepreneurial projects to generate social and economic impact. During the workshop, Open Data Lab courses will be annouced, too. Certified Training in Open Data for Business

From the month of September on, the modules of  Basic Business Open Data are back, a first contact with the application of open data to the business world. Open data is considered a new feedstock with big potentialities for the economic development. It is composed of the courses Introduction to Open Data, Open Data Economy and Social ImpactReusing open data and Technical Bases of Legal Data & Linked Data.

This is a modular training and students can enroll each session separately, but enrolling all of them allow them to achieve certifications accredited by the Open Data Institute. By November, Professional Business Certificate will be developed and, from 2018 the Open data web Apps Developement certificate, for which it is necessary to have done the previous ones or passing a level test.

Open Data Lab also includes other awareness actions, free workshops, Drinks&Data and the Open Data Special Week, among others. This project is fomented by Citilab and Iniciativa Barcelona Open Data, with Metropolitan Area of Barcelona, Diputació de Barcelona, Cornellà City Council and Barcelona City Council.
