On September 12th, 13th and 14th, the Citilab Clubs will open their doors to the public to offer spaces for collaborative self-learning in which programming, production and audio-visual editing, creative electronics and the “maker” culture three afternoons a week.
Retrieving regular hours, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, Club members can engage in practical tasks of co-creation and exchange of knowledge thanks to the work methodology for projects and the support of Citilab experts.
As of 12, every Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Programming Club will welcome all those over 12 years of age who want to get involved in the creation of games and other projects focusing on block programs like Scratch, Snap !, AppInventor or GP. Club members have taken a project to interpret sign language with the help of a 3D reader based on the LeapMotion device as well as a research project to apply virtual reality to architecture.
Finally, every Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Makers Club introduces all participants in the “maker” culture and endeavors them into creative electronics. From this work group, inventions have emerged as satisfactory as the CNC cutter, an intelligent chessboard or a gamaged bin to promote recycling.
In the same way, the group of the New Craftsmen (born of the Makers Club) that also meets every Thursday at the same time, is involved in the construction of projects based on design, programming and / or micro electronics. The latest successful project created by the New Craftsmen was the weather t-shirt, which even appeared on the Espai Terra TV3 program!
